Welcome to Aquoia Counseling. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website and services. By using our website or engaging in therapy with us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Services Provided

Aquoia Counseling offers virtual therapy services, including:

  • Individual therapy for adults and teenagers
  • Trauma counseling
  • Justice-involved therapy
  • EMDR therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Narrative therapy
  • Couples and family counseling
  • Reunification services

These services are provided by a licensed therapist in a professional and ethical manner.

Eligibility for Services

  • You must be 18 years or older to book therapy for yourself.
  • If seeking therapy for a minor, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent.
  • Therapy is not a substitute for emergency medical or psychiatric care. If you are in crisis, please call 911 or seek immediate help from a crisis center.

Confidentiality & Privacy

We take confidentiality seriously. Your therapy sessions and personal information are protected by law and professional ethics.

However, we may be required to disclose information if:

  • There is an immediate threat of harm to yourself or others.
  • There is suspected abuse or neglect of a minor, elderly person, or vulnerable adult.
  • A court order legally requires disclosure.

Booking & Payment

  • Sessions are by appointment only and must be scheduled in advance.
  • Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
  • Fees are subject to change, but we will notify you in advance of any adjustments.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

  • We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
  • No-shows will be charged the full session fee.

Online Therapy & Technology Requirements

  • All sessions are conducted virtually via a secure platform.
  • Clients are responsible for ensuring they have a stable internet connection, a private space, and the necessary technology for online sessions.
  • Technical issues on the client’s end do not warrant a refund, but we will attempt to reschedule if possible.

Client Responsibilities

By using our services, you agree to:

  • Be honest and open during therapy sessions.
  • Actively participate in your healing process.
  • Follow therapist recommendations and treatment plans.
  • Respect boundaries and professional ethics.

Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

  • Therapy results vary from person to person. We do not guarantee specific outcomes.
  • Aquoia Counseling is not responsible for decisions you make based on therapy discussions.
  • We are not liable for any technical issues, disruptions, or third-party service failures that impact virtual therapy sessions.

Intellectual Property

  • All content on this website, including text, graphics, and materials, is owned by or licensed to Aquoia Counseling and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.
  • You may not record, distribute, or share therapy sessions without explicit written consent.

Changes to These Terms
